| Some Real Things To Say:
alright. I just found some of my freshmen memories!! These are some of the best quotes I have ever read.. Hopefully, you'll love them as much as I do.
From Dune by Frank Herbert: I must not fear; fear is the mind killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I wil face my fear. I will let it pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
By Vincent Van Gogh: I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored that the day.
By Elias Canetti: All things one has forgotten, scream for help in dreams.
When sorrows come, they come not single spies, but in battalions. ~Hamlet, Shakespeare
there is one more... It's called You Must Know That I Do Not Love by Pablo Neruda.. If you are interested Google it, it is long but VERY good.. (kind of a romance, but whatever)

| "Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea. And ideas are
While watching the movie "V for Vendetta" the other night, I realized something incredible. Yes, I have known it almost my entire life.. From the moment I learned about Martin Luther King Jr. and all of the Civil Rights activists. And in many other situations. But I never knew how to put that in words.
You see, the truth is that nobody finds something worth fighting for (worth DIEING for) until they come face-to-face with it. It takes a form of recognition, and stays there.
The scene in particular that moved me in the film "V for Vendetta" was when "V" said the following:
"Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea. And ideas are bulletproof."
I don't know about anyone else, but I think that that is an astounding observation. I mean, imagine something worth fighting for (DIEING for). An idea SO GREAT, that you don't care whether you live or die. Because you KNOW that the idea will always be there.
For anyone who has ever felt dedicated to something, I have found that this movie is incredible. It will relate to everything you have ever imagined being a part of.
And (as usual) here are my favorite quotes about Ideas(actually, I only have one, so here it is):
It is by acts, not ideas, that people live. ~Anatole France

| Boredom: the desire for desires
There is not much that can be said about boredom. It's boring, and it's a quality that is undeniably essential, considering the fact that when man is most bored is when man ponders the things he understands the least.
In my time here at home, alone, and without anything worth doing to do, I have realized that boredom isn't just a state of mind, or a way of doing things. Boredom is as profound as a day of the week. I sit here, and do absolutely nothing. It's not bad, but it's not at all good. I feel like I'm living in pergatory.
"Is boredom anything less than the sense of one's faculties slowly dying?" ~John Berger
"Perhaps the world's second worst crime is boredom. The first is being a bore." ~Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton
"Life swings like a pendulum backward and forward between pain and boredom" ~Arthur Schopenhauer
"Boredom is the feeling that everything is a waste of time; serenity, that nothing is." ~Thomas S. Szasz
"Procrastination avoids boredom; one never has the feeling that there is nothing important to do"
"I've got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom." ~Thomas Carlyle

| "It is easier to forgive an enemy than to forgive a friend."
The topic for today is forgiveness.
I've recently realized how important forgiveness is in life. I called my dad today, after finding out what his number is from my ex-stepmother. (though she is still a mother to me).
My biggest wish is that others would forgive me the way that I have learned to forgive in such a short time. I've always been too good at forgiving, I think. Until I began being so envious of the life that I don't get. Now I realize that most others don't notice how much they wish others would forgive them.
I must say however, that there are a few unforgiveable things, which I am not able to just drop, no matter but much they persist. Some people are unworthy of forgiveness, and they definitely know who they are.
I miss the days when I didn't care. When life was just there. Lately, life is ... difficult.
"Forgiveness is the answer to the child's dream of a miracle by which what is broken is made whole again, what is soiled is made clean again." ~Daq Hammarskjold
"Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names." ~ John F. Kennedy
